Our first foray into Risograph in collaboration with prolific New Zealand artist T-Wei. To celebrate this release - with every print sold, we pledge to plant 30 trees in Madagascar, in addition to our Art For Trees initiative.
Risograph is a printing process invented in Japan now celebrated worldwide as a highly popular medium of reproduction for artists and zine authors. This exclusive print (36 x 25.5 cm/ 14.2 x 10") finished in A3 size is signed and numbered (edition of 40) and features deep punchy two tone red and black - perfectly reproducing T-Wei's work beyond that of the usual digital printing process (we overboosted the Riso inks!).
Similar to Screen printing - Riso printing only uses spot colour, each art work is reproduced via individual inks and unique stencils (masters). Please note, this means Riso prints can be unpredictable and each piece could have its own quirks.
Risograph inks are also plant-based, making it better for the environment. For the paper stock, we've chosen to go with 250gsm Eco100 off-white: a first class, environmentally responsible offset paper, produced using FSC® Certified, 100% Post Consumer Recycled, PCF pulp.
Limited to one copy per order only.

Artist
Based out of Wellington, New Zealand, t.wei’s focus has jumped between animation, concept art, illustration rooted in pop surrealism. This has allowed t.wei to situate himself between industries, with fingers in anything from concept/production art for games and music videos to gallery work and murals lending itself to more of a narrative approach.
As a freelance illustrator, t.wei primarily works on commercial illustration during the day, and on his personal projects in lieu of sleep. Over recent years he’s been lucky enough to create work for bands like Thee Oh Sees, Desiigner and Nic Cester, see his work published in Hi-fructose, Pictoplasma and Make your mark: the new urban artists, and exhibit in shows across Europe and America.
