Artist
Based out of Wellington, New Zealand, t.wei’s focus has jumped between animation, concept art, illustration rooted in pop surrealism. This has allowed t.wei to situate himself between industries, with fingers in anything from concept/production art for games and music videos to gallery work and murals lending itself to more of a narrative approach.
As a freelance illustrator, t.wei primarily works on commercial illustration during the day, and on his personal projects in lieu of sleep. Over recent years he’s been lucky enough to create work for bands like Thee Oh Sees, Desiigner and Nic Cester, see his work published in Hi-fructose, Pictoplasma and Make your mark: the new urban artists, and exhibit in shows across Europe and America.
